About the Journal

Journal “World and National Economy” is an open-access scientific electronic peer-reviewed journal on global economic issues that publishes articles in Russian and English. The Journal is published by MGIMO-University publishing agency since 2006 (ISSN 2713-0983).

The Journal has four issues a year.

Publication and all editorial services in the journal are provided free of charge. The Journal does not have any submission or procession charges,

Aims, Scope and Editorial Policy

“World and National Economy” is a scientific journal that focuses on topical issues of the global and Russian economy. Such a choice of scope is natural as our authors are predominantly academics that conduct research on the global economy and Russian external economic relations. We also publish works of Ph.D. and MA students on the related topics if their works may be of interest to our audience.

The scope of the Journal is reflected in its main sections, i.e., “Economy of Foreign States”, “Economy of Russia”, “Economic Theory”, “Global Problems”, “International Finance”, “International Capital Flows”, “International Trade”, “International Migration”, “Economics of the Fuel and Energy Industry”, “Regional Problems”. Apart from that, the authors of our Journal often publish their works in other sections, such as “Proceedings of Scientific Conferences”, “Round Tables”, “Materials from the Upcoming Textbooks”, “Book Reviews”.

Our editorial policy aims to raise the scientific level of the Journal by attracting wider range of competitive authors, including foreign ones. Simultaneously, we stepped up our efforts to expand the indexation of the Journal in scientometric databases.
